Jazz,ambient, etc..basically non-metal recommendations...post them!

it's best not to form any opinion about an artist's music based on some footage of her going berzerk. bjork really is innovative and she has some brilliant songs. i haven't really heard much loreena mckenitt, but the few things that i have been subjected to have not pleased me in the least. i had the impression that the music was intended for middle aged women who just want something they can relax to and ignore.

Just winding you up  , (offtopic) but you must admit you did say something about ironbeard's wife, he didn't make that up.

i didnt even know he was married. or not even gay for that matter. how could i have said anything about his wife? youre both clowns imo.

Never got too into Bjork, but my roommate fucking loves her. I watched some of her latest (I think) DVD and it was very interesting. It was during the Medula tour. Those Matmos guys do some fucking awesome stuff, I might be seeing them soon with my roommate.

I just got Dave Matthews Band's "Before These Crowded Streets". Up until now I've only had a couple of their live albums, but even in the studio, their mix of jazzed up pop is awesome.

There is hope for humanity, some people are digging DMB on the Opeth forum !

Before Thse Crowded Streets is just a piece of art the ultimate pop rock record along with Sting Ten Summoner's Tale.

Plus DMB have one the most incredible musician on this planet :

The one and Only : Carter Fuckin' Beauford !!!

A JAzz Rock drummer playing in a pop rock context ? That IS cool !!!

I fail to see the correlation between these two observations.
