Jazz music annoys me!

I'm trying to like it but I can't...

I saw the movie "The French Connection" yesterday and the music was so cool so I look up and saw that the composer was Don Ellis... so I've download couple of his songs... post-bop I think i dunno... and I couldn't hear it! it was so annyoing

Couldn't that go into the off topic section?

Because it's got fuck all to do with anything most forum members want to talk about.

If you want cool jazz, D/L some Cannibal Corpse or Staind...!! They are True Norweigian Black-Jazz...!!

Saw it too, yesterday!
Watched The French Connection II, to be exact. Nothing else to watch when you have no Yes (satellite) nor Digital Cables... :bah:
I liked the movie, and the soundtrack was pretty good, most of the time anyway.

Jazz is goodness.

(btw - funny, I started downloading Cowboy Bebop episodes this morning... nice to know the soundtrack's good)

Yah, duuude, condolences. But - do you know what jazz is? Maybe you've just invented a "jazz" thing for yourself by hearing a saxophone in the movie and then set it up on the "hate" wall to form an identity?

Is jazz too purple for you? Have you heard at least one Miles Davis album from the 50s-60s?

You don’t have to look too hard to find jazz holds some of the most talented musicians. I’d at least give Miles Davis - Kind of Blue a shot :) .

Since everyone's recommending on something...

Oscar Peterson's trios are great (at least the few I've listened to).
Try also Bill Evans - Portrait in Jazz.
