Alot of people think of metalheads as a bunch of skinny, loner, slackers. how many of you played/play organized sport in school? even if it were just pop warner football. all the guys i know in bands don't know that i was a tailback at my highschool, and that i held the city record in track for a few years. so if you played any sport, what was it? post pics if you can. ( i would post mine but they were destroyed in a fire).

Well, I exercise 6 times a week  Here's how my week usually looks like:

Mon - upper body workouts (currently 150 sit-ups, 150 back extensions, 30 clean press-ups, 75 times 6 kg weights biceps curl with each arm separately, 75 times 4 kg weight chest fly with each arm separately)
Tue - 90 minutes of football (soccer)
Wed - upper body workouts (each session, I increase the situp/back reps by +2 and the other moves by +1)
Thu - 90 minutes of football (soccer)
Fri - upper body workouts
Sat - 8 km of inline skating (each month I increase the distance by 2 km)
Sun - relaxation

In the winter I walk instead of inline skating. 8,5 km (5,3 miles) in about 65 minutes was my last winter month's walk distance. Oh and during school terms, we have two extra football shifts in a bubble hall with artificial grass.

Oh and for the past 4,5 years, I've been losing weight. Right now I've lost 37,7 kg (83 lbs) of weight since I started and I'm almost at my ideal weight

I didn't become a muscle head until I got out of high school, but I did play C.Y.O Basketball, and Pop Warner football.

I was a Power Forward/Center in Basketball, and in Football I was a Tight End/Defensive End.

Those were good times.

Currently, my little brother and I , are also powerlifting, and I've been dabbling in Strongman competitions, and Muay Thai.

I was an NCAA D1 swimmer for Missouri State University (SMSU back then). I made my Olympic Trial cuts in 1996 but did not come close to making the Olympic team. I was All-American in the 400 IM and 200 IM. I just recently decided to start training for a triathlon in September.

I swam for about 10 years, didn't really do anything with it though, but used to go swimming every friday, do lengths and that.
Got pretty fucking good.

I lift weights religiously 3 times a week (though you probably wouldn't know it looking at me  Ectomorphs FTL :(), but really don't like sports, too much hyper-competitive macho BS IMO...

I need to get back in the water. Aside from the fact of being a great way to get in shape, Its also a great way to peel off stress at the end of the day. Do about 3500 meters, go home, beat the shit out of your strings. You'll sleep like a baby.

Hhahahah ECTOMORPHS UNITE!!!

Psshh, who are you kidding, you're a fucking monster - I'm 5'11" 155 lbs. brodawg, and that ain't changing any time soon! (and I've been that height/weight for the past ~4 years)

You just have to find a right group to play in :) Don't go to any semi/professional team. Play with other amateurs and it's so much more fun

Yeah, of course, I love basketball with random people who suck as much as I do, and me and my best friend in college would always have a blast playing (and sucking at :D) tennis - just saying in general!

i used to play basketball in HS, but never made varsity. so i switched to wrestling my junior year and was captain my senior year. but once college came around, i went back to exploring music and really stopped doing any organized sport. i miss it :erk:

I've been weight training for about a year now and I train parkour with a friend of mine who runs the club at his university when I'm home from work (the outdoor cardio/bodyweight workouts we do for it are RIDICULOUS). Still need to shed a few pounds but I'm easily in the best shape of my life although that's not saying much! Struggling with the nutrition aspect though, I am a carb-addicted menace. Anyone got any good tips for keeping me off the shit food? I find if I go without it for a few days then it's easier for me to stay away from it because I sort of feel like I'm on a streak that I don't want to break, but once I cave and have pizza for dinner or something, it's alot easier for me to keep eating junk day after day... Blah!

Chryst, thats pretty much the best kinda ripped right there, when you just look like you've got amazing genetics.

I'd imagine the womenz flock to that aye?
