I fail to see how this is a negative thing in any way. If Joey has enough fans and name to warrant his own forum because so many people are interested in his work, how exactly is it a bad thing that someone devotes an entire discussion board for him? No-one's said Joey shouldn't post here, and I can't imagine anyone even thinks so, this new forum is just a place for people interested in Joey's work just as much as this forum is for people interested in Andy's.

I think the problem with a lot of the guys...kids... whatever on this forum asking for Joey techniques assume that he has stumbled upon a gold mine of plugins, samples, etc that are relatively cheap (SSD, Pod Farm) or freely available on torrent sites, so they think "OH SHIT! YOU CAN GET THAT SOUND OUT OF POD FARMZ?! I can make so much moniez from so little work"

They don't seem to get that this guy is an awesome engineer, with years of practise. He knows his gear, he knows his room, he has golden ears blah blah blah. They hear that the latest devil wears prada album was pod farm and go to fucking town on it then spam up this forum asking for help when they cant get "that sound"...and wonder what they're doing wrong.

I changed the style to the prosilver and it seems that the edit and quote buttons are there. Maybe the Starcraft2 forumskin just sucks.

I just checked from the html sourcecode and the quote button code seems to be there, but no button is visible. edit button is missing tho.

edit: oh, you are going thru different skins. In the newest ones I don't see ANY of the edit / report / modify / delete buttons

i am glad you are back, jason, you've been here a long time (understated) and you shouldn't have to leave.

however, not to back-hand your idea because i'm sure it was on the tip of everyone's tongues... you just acted on it.

but.

most of the kids asking for joey presets are just here to see/talk to/smell joey sturgis.

certainly joey will still post here and most rarely be trolling around his "own forum". which will most likely not get rid of the issue (if anything, i could potentially bring more people to the sneap forums in an effort to stalk joey).


but like i said... way to go, in action! and it's really cool to see something like this materialize.
