Just a rant about stupid people

okay about the spelling thing, I'm a perfect example of a fairly inteligent person who has really bad spelling, has nothing to do with lack of education, or not paying attention, I just have a hard time with it. Always have had bad spelling, I've even taken special classes to try to correct a lot of my spelling errors, just doesn't work..........so naturally I don't think that spelling has anything to do with intelligence.......

on a more perky note, (I'know, perkiness on a neververmore discussion board is like sacrelidge or something....) Fuzzy pink bunnies followed me home from school ....

I'll see a movie if it is recommended, but I won't like it just because others do. Ditto for restaraunts. Stupid people bug, but bad drivers are worse. At least you can ignore stupid people, you have to pay attention to bad drivers.

Ignorance and stupidity are not equivalent. Ignorance means you don't know something, stupidity means you are incapable of learning it. Stupid people don't realize they're stupid, which also makes them ignorant. For example, at work we did a usability test on one of our websites with people in other departments. Most of the people found most of the tasks fairly simple, but one girl found all of them extremely difficult and showed her stupidity in her answers to the questions. People who think drugs free their mind are ignorant because drugs only enslave you to addiction (I'm sure everyone will rip me apart for that one). People who pull out in traffic and don't speed up are stupid, ignorant, inconsiderate, and reckless, which is a dangerous combination.

Everybody is ignorant of something, but not everyone is stupid.

at least you acknowledge that you will get ripped apart for saying that hahahaa. Don't you think what you said is ignorant "drugs enslave you to addiction." I believe that to be true for some but not all... you can be a drug user or abuser you decide. It is all a matter of how you take it... Don't think so one sided... drugs can be bad, but can also be the single most important experience of your life... hey nothing bad about that... try psychedelics

but that is exactly my point. Drug users inevitably become abusers, but they are ignorant to that fact. They say stuff like, "I can quit anytime." But they are addicted. Drugs are made to be addictive (unless you've invented some non-addictive kind nobody else knows about). Anyway, before this turns into a flame war, I shall depart the conversation.

why, I am not looking to flame anyone... Do you use drugs? Because if not than what do you have to base it on... Psychedelics are not addictive, marijuana even... Drug use doesn't always lead to abuse, where did you come to that conclusion?

I don't, but I've had enough friends ruin their lives with them that I recognize the futility of people trying to walk the balance of being a user but not an abuser. I hope that the side effects become apparent to you before you really screw up your life.
