I saw this Cd at my local music store for the first time but I didn't get it before becuase I didn't know much about it.
What I'd like to know is ...

1. I remember when I got Karma, I was really dissapionted with the guitar playing. How is it in Epica?

Also, how is the rest of the album?

I have Karma and the Fourth Legacy. There are some good songs, but Youngblood is definitely a lousy player. He does too many fucking 16th note palm muted riffs over and over and over where the double bass simply follows with 16th notes. This is the major downfall of almost all power metal bands.

Mr. Shred-ididle,

I would recommened carving a path back to that record store with a chainsaw, disemboweling anyone who stands in your way. Do whatever necessary to buy that disc! Karma pales in comparison to Epica; you will not regret that purchase, my friend.

I originally didnt like Epica at all, but i warmed up to it a little (a little). It still is not by any means as good as Karma. So if you didnt like Karma, i would stay away.

You shouldn't listen to Kamelot for the guitar playing... as it is rather generic and buried underneath the obscene amounts of orchestration. However, "Epica" is a great disc.

Agreed, Epica is sounding a little better with a few more listens, but I still like Karma a lot more.
