I also think that Khan's first band, Conception, was actually superior to anything he did later with Kamelot. Their music was more imaginative, fresh, and less straightforward than Kamelot's.

I heard Conception a few times and liked them, but I never followed up on it. What Conception albums would you guys recommend?

All of the Conception discs are good ... I particularly like Flow, and In Your Multitude best, but Parallel Lines is also pretty high quality stuff.

Flow is one of my all-time favorites .. It's a special disc in my opinion and a bit different from their other stuff.

If you like prog-power, In Your Multitude. If you want a more toned down melodic rock, Flow.

I read he had a spiritual thing going but also a breakdown of some sort.
