i understand about the snare. it has a special sound. its the Joey Slipknot snare. 13" and super high tuned. the rest is a Tama Starclassic drumkit.

I think I messed up the EQ balance because when I went to master (read: slam the shit out of) the track, I could barely get any level... even now it's a little odd to my ears. Ah well.

The new Kick15 and new Maple Tom samples with the old Snare7 sample (still my fave of the lot)

Might have a go at a non-sampled version later.

Cool mix, as always, but it seems to be a bit fatiguing, to my ears at least. Maybe it has too much high mids, I can't really put my finger on it. The mix seems to be clipping, too.

Cheers. Yes, you're right, it is clipping. I just couldn't seem to get any level out of the track without doing that. I'll probably go back later and fix that up... I'm still not really sure what it is stopping me from getting decent level. With the fatigue I'm not sure... probably because my ears are fatigued from mixing for hours, hehe. I'll check it out a bit later. Cheers for the comments.
