KSE - This Fire Burns (Cover) Mixing Practice

Hi, guys!

I've recently published a video of the cover for KSE song "This Fire Burns". Here you may watch it:

I can not perform the vox like Howard does, so decided to do that another way. Hope you won't blame be for that.
Guitar DIs were recorded by my friend, he was kind to share them.

In archive you may find a MIDI (Toontrack compatible, tempo embedded), guitar and bass DIs and vocal tracks.
All tracks are raws, but edited, especially backing vox.

otero1st, thanks for you entry!
Here are some points:

• Kick has a lot of sub bass, but should posses some body as well.
• I can hear some phase issues (is there any stereo enchancer on it?).
• Bring the lead guitar up a little.
• I'd prefer more body and slightly less upper mids to the rhythm guitars.
• Master comp / limiter is pumped pretty much, so you may hear the guitars are "jumping" on some parts by their volume.

Hope they'd be useful.

Tallicalad, I digged your covers (not only this one) some time before! You've got a killer vox skills, so powerful and lots of expression!

Habsburgs, liked your mix! Pretty well balanced.
Maybe some mids cut on the guitars and the bass level (need more bass, actually).

mickrich, did you reamp this through some of your amps?
I've found the vox kinda undercompressed here.
Nice kick sound!
