i just remove all plugs and all automation... takes me a a couple minutes per song. i do this from a back up of the session though, i always keep my mix files on hand and intact.

Ah, I was just curious as to what extent you went to stripping down the session. Do you print the tracks with the plugs first?

good stuff to know though
now to make a separate thread about how well labels usually communicate with engineers, because i've had very little. They haven't even given me a deadline for the mix. and the album comes out in late october
