do some of you people make posters for gigs or parties, lay-outs for cd's,..

if yes, what program do you use and what would you recommand me, cause i never can work out my ideas properly and that frustrates me a lot so..

Photoshop for imaging, Quark for layout

Photoshop for imaging like Light said and Illustrator for vectors. Stay away from Corel Draw.

Photoshop yeah, or try Paint Shop Pro if you're a beginner and need something simple to use.

paint shop pro is also a good option... and has many good features, maybe ye should try that one first

join college for a degree instead of asking which program is best.

For one thing I think knowledge in computing or any computer-related stuff comes from experience, not from college. Wharrever. College is for humanities stuff, septem artes liberales, but what you really learn comes through work. Work, work, work, as Lenin said
