Let's Talk About Guns

That is, two people who aren't that familiar with weapons. If you take an avid hunter, male or female, of course they'll probably be a better shot.

Women make good snipers, too.
I must have a vagina then. I'm high strung, but an excellent shot when in practice. I need to polish my skills again though.

Yeah, you and probably everyone already knows the whole spiel but I'll lay it out anyway.

If I was female and walked into a room full of guys and yelled "Who wants some pussy?!" I'd get fucked, no question.

If I was a male and walked into a room full of women and yelled "Who wants some dick?!" I'd be arrested, with multiple restraining orders against me.

...and that is, my friend, the very best thing about being a woman.

Women make good snipers, too. Again, it's that attention to detail and ability to function under pressure.

Yep. I followed CDC rules, because I went shooting when my father qualified. Been a couple years though.

OOPS. I FUCT UP. Neal, when you mentioned AR-15, I was thinking of the M4 Carbine...the AR-15 is what replaced the M-16. The AR-15 doesn't kick hardly at all and isn't so loud as the M4 Carbine.

I'm not familiar with CDC rules. We had 8 shots each, I believe, standing, kneeling, and prone in a specific time limit, iron sights, at different ranges for the final qual. You were given like 8 shots in each position to manually sight in your weapon; after that, you had to make the rest of them count for qualification. I wish I could remember exactly, but that was like 2 years ago.

Hmm, no prone here, all hangdun. I never got formal rifle training, but I did shoot from standing and kneeling, iron sights and self imposed time limits. Let me see if I can get the CDC rules...

Ok, they don't publish it. it was something like 3m, hipshot, 6 rounds, 30 sec twice, 10 round 7m and 15m, 30 sec twice each, have to make... 40 total? Lenient rules due to people being blind.

If you can shoot that well with a handgun, I'm fairly certain you'd ace the rifle qual,.

The prone was the easiest.

I updated the post with (something close to) the rules. This was with a Glock too, these don't fit my hand well at all. NUNCHUCKER!

Karen, I've always wondered this. In the US military, we'd get smacked for calling the weapon, "a gun". Is the US military the only one this anal about this nomenclature or is it other militaries as well?

You shoulda been in the military, dude.

Too anxious and prone to not listening to superiors that get pushy. I'd have been in a military jail most of my service for insubordination. :/ Been in trouble a few times in REGULAR life for that :p

Not sure what you mean by that Chris... is it because it is a "weapon" not "a gun"?

Yes. From my understanding, a "gun" is something akin to a .50 cal, a howitzer, or the huge guns on battleships, according to my experience. I never saw what the big deal was, and was just curious if we were the only ones so anal about that kind of thing.
