As for the writing of the bible, it's widely accepted now that is is a collation of works from a variety of sources over some considerable time period. That really seems to be beside the point of this thread, though.

Anyways, for my money I'm a complete absurdist and happily avoiding getting too nihilistic about it.
 
Well, I don't really consider myself an existentialist. Absurdism is a good fit for me, I don't pretend to think everyone else should ascribe to it too. :)
