Listening to thread???

Yes, I actually listened to it. Although I've never been particularly fond of female vocals outside of a duet in metal, aside from a very few select bands.

That's with the new singer, who I don't like at all. Her voice is too soft and she has no vibrato. The band lost a lot of its fire when they changed singers. Unfortunately they had no choice. Rami took ill and was out of action for 2 years. She has since returned and took a lot of singing lessons because she has much more control now.

To balance out some of the overt gayness you guys are posting, I'm going to post an actual gay man in order to bring us back to an even keel. LOL

 Japan should just get it over with and have bukkake metal or something. Just big-titted porn stars get big wads shot on them with a thrash metal band playing in the background.

I thought all metalheads were already doing this: watching porn with sound muted and playing good music from their audio system. Then if you prefer asian porn with thrash, it's a matter of taste.

Right?

I don't care. It was funny. Calling someone a faggot or gay is funny as long as it's not meant as a serious personal insult, I'm not apologizing for it. SJWs can be offended somewhere else.

I had never heard their Control and Resistance album until just now. First impression is that it's like a much more ridiculously technical version of Sanctuary. If Warrel Dane had simply stuck in his highest range 95% of the time and also didn't even try to sing, but just shrieked all of the time. The band that the vocalist joined soon after that album (Non-Fiction) did tour with Sanctuary too, and he sounded a lot better there. Apparently he claimed in an interview that the members of Watchtower were wanting him to sing high at all times, and it was out of his comfortable range, which is probably why it sounds like shit. He sounds a lot better on the newer stuff.

Jason McMaster? he was the singer in that band when they began, if I remember correctly. He was in Dangerous Toys, too

Watchtower has a Annihilator feel, with a bit more progressive tendencies.

They had a different vocalist on their first album. Control and Resistance and the new one have another guy.

Jason McMaster - vocals (1982–1988, 1999–2009)
Alan Tecchio - vocals (1989–1990, 2010, 2015–present)

I was only commenting on how annoying Alan Tecchio was before compared to now.

Here's my review: I wanna join your band. It's what I've been looking for for years around here.

I love literally everything I've heard and I love how you wear your influences on your sleeves but you don't let them dictate where you take the music. I hear a lot of Katatonia, a lot of The Fall of Every Season, and some older Anathema. Vocals are done very well, both clean and death. The production is crisp and clear and I like how every instrument is brought to the front. It's very well done for a DIY release, and I'm just listening to the bandcamp thing you posted.

Seriously, I wanna join your band.

:D

BTW, "Earthly Confine" is my jam.

In fact, I think I wrote that riff. If it's not the same, it's really similar. Our playing and writing styles are very similar. I tend to drone on with a really catchy, melodic riff and stretch it out as far as I can, just like you've done with the main riff in this one. It's simple and beautiful and perfect. The vocals fit perfectly with the timbre of the guitar, gives it almost a boy-ish quality until it breaks into the distortion and blows my fucking mind.
