yeah, but "eter" is more refered to as "Air "or Space in this particular phrase, like in "Etermedia", something that travels through the air and through space, so to speak.In the old days Ether was seen as the fifth element(now a days we have vacuum as the fifth) and Ether was therfore the form that was beyond our atmosphere, in which the signals and radiation made its way.
