I think the best thing about the new song is Dickinson's vocal line, the music is ok, but not exactly challenging. I hope the rest of the album has some more complex musical parts.

I love DoD and don't prefer this to that album as a whole like some people have said, but I do enjoy it.
I actually like the fact they have used a simple, heavy, groove driven riff. Something different for Maiden, and it rocks.

IRON MAIDEN: Limited-Edition 'A Matter Of Life And Death' Double-CD/DVD Release Detailed - July 23, 2006
According to MaidenNorway.com, Maidenfans.com relayed a bulletin posted by the Italian MAIDEN fan site www.eddies.it claiming the Italian release date of IRON MAIDEN's 14th studio album, "A Matter of Life and Death", is August 25.
As previously reported, EMI was planning to release the album August 26-28, depending on the coutry. New information, on the other hand, suggests that the Italian release will be August 25 — which is probably more likely as it lands on a Friday rather than a Saturday.
An Italian fan posted the details of the limited-edition double-CD/DVD release on the IMOC (Iron Maiden Online Club) yesterday, as follows:

I'm buying the CD/DVD combo if it gets a local release. While working out my radio gigs for the next month or so earlier today, I mentioned to my (frankly irresistible) superior that August 28th rang a bell but couldn't remember why at first.
"Oh that's right," said I. "The new Iron Maiden album comes out then."
It's probably for the best I won't have a chance to buy it before my shift and chuck it on during one of our music breaks. I expect it to be good, but not worth getting sacked over
