I may have bought one of these used if the deal goes through, from what I've read it has the Celestion 75 watt G12T-75 speakers in it...I've heard a few recordings using these and was wondering if you guys think 400 bucks usd is a good deal? The pictures I saw made it seem like it was in very good condish and I need a cab quick, what are your thoughts?

Yeah that was the first one I saw, compared to the $400 one it's a bit more haggard looking that I wanted lol. I guess right around 300-500 is where they usually go for depending on condition? I saw some guy selling a mesa standard cab used for almost a grand, wtf....

i think it is a good deal but i dont live in the US so im sure you should rather wait for another response. I do like these speakers though so it will depend on your taste. To be honest i went for the v30s in the beginning and i dont regret it, but now im VERY happy to have the t75s as well.

Well truth be told the guy is asking $475 obo so I sort of low balled it heh- won't be heartbroken if he doesn't take it and I may go up a bit in price myself. I see alot of these cabs for sale used in this area but this one looked the best and the more I look at some of the vids with these cabs the more I actually like the g12's. I plan on getting either a 5150 or 6505 to go with it, seems like a good setup imo.

I was lucky enough to pick one off in like new condition off craigslist for $200. I really like it. It kicks the crap out of my old avt cab. The 75's can sound kind of nasally but I usually mic it up with the friedman technique with a 57 and 58. I traded 2 of my speakers for 2 30's. They had more mids, but its not as bassy as a mesa.

heres a clip with my 5150

lol at the mesa for almost a grand. I've seen plenty of those go for 5-600 (and in really good shape as well).

People on CL are dumb, I always love this one: "Well I paid $700 6 years ago and I'm only asking for $500"

Nobody gives a fuck dude, find out how much your shit is going for right now and sell it accordingly so I don't have to low ball the shit out of you.

Wouldnt use a marshall head with anything else than a matching cab. V30's and Marshalls suck IMO. Unbeatable for rock. As for metal though, very dodgy cab if you ask me. Its V30 all the way for the quick stuff.

1960A RULES. You'll definitely need to learn how to mic it though, micing it similar to a V30 cab doesn't yield the best results in my findings. I'm currently on the search for one too, trying to keep it between 3-400$.

All cabs are fully capable of giving you a decent recorded tone - period. No fucking discussion. If you can't get a good sound out of it, then it is YOU.

But for live usage, where you need to fill a room... that's a different story.

We used a 1960B with a Laney VH100R on the TNBD album; it fucking slays.
