I could really care less about the cover art. If it looks good, that's nice. If it looks bad, who gives a crap? It doesn't affect what comes out of your speakers when you press play.

well, that word doesn't really apply in this instance... but I'd say the real "critic" in this situation are the folks who are having a cow about the way the cover looks when they've only heard a minute and seven seconds of the album, not that it makes much difference...

If you post a thread about the cover artwork, obviously we say what we think about the artwork. It's obvious that what comes out from the speakers is the most important thing - or at least should be.
But hearing only one minute and a few seconds, I think that doesn't mean that I can't better judge the artwork :Shedevil: ... polemic, as usual

They never released digipack cd so far... I don't know...
I'd prefer a normal jewelcase from Novembre, as usual, including lyrix.

All I can say is that this is probably one of the greatest cover arts i have seen - along with Katatonia's new one. I mean wow, the colour tones are just so impressive and pleasing to the eyes. I can't stop looking at it. The mood, the atmosphere diaplyed here - terrific stuff!Let's hope the cover fits the feel of the music perfectly. I can already envision how atmospheric and beautiful this album must be.
Most importantly, I can't wait to hear the sound production. If Guisippes work on Klimt 1918 is any indication, than this new Novembre album will be one heck of a treat to hear.
Man, just can't wait!

I was a little suprised to see the cover to being with, as a city skyline/factory thing isn't really what I equate with Novembre's beautiful, almost historical music. But the more I looked at it the more I started to really enjoy it.
My favourite Novembre cover is 'Classica' as well. It's just amazing. Novembre are metal's best kept secret and I'm dying to pick up the new album. For me, 'Novembrine Waltz' set a new precedent for atmospheric music.

Last time i did, i got hit up by some dungeons and dragons dork in the mall, that wanted to sit there and talk about opeths time signatures and how great the new album is. I told him the new album is garbage and went on my way. ahh oh well... back on topic!

haha im sure i sound like a "metal elitist prick" but oh well.
im not sure what opeth shirt you're refering to... but i wasnt wearing a specific opeth shirt when i was approached. Just a bootleg my friend made with the O on the front. the opeth shirts that i saw at hot topic were the "logo" shirt, and blackwater park. i'm sure hot topic has tons of opeth shit now, since i've seen commercials on tv for ghost reveries
blackwater park is not a bad album, but i dont think its their best. I just dont like new opeth at all, first off the keys gotta go... it was cool on damnation, but not on the heavier stuff. the songs seem like they just didnt have the effort put into them as the previous albums. theres a couple good songs, but the grand conjuration is not that great of a song, that main riff is so simple it could be nirvana! i guess with their older stuff they were a death metal band with prog influence... now its seems like theyre a prog band with a death metal influence...
