Anyhow, The guitarist from The Sword is putting together a doom metal 50th anniversary tribute to Pink Floyd's Piper At The Gates of Dawn entitled Doom Side of the Moon. First single is Money: Tone is kinda weak, not the crushing, lustrous tonality of Saint Vitus, Candlemass, or Uncle Acid, but, hey, not bad:



Album is out August 4th, day before Piper's 50th.

Thoughts on the new Suffocation? I was not disappointed by it but it's average Suffo imo. Drums are too clicky

I thought about buying the new album along with a few other brutal death metal albums but after listening to a couple songs its pretty bland.

Not that they're entirely similar but this is what I ended up buying instead

@CASSETTEISGOD it seems like the Sadistik Exekution guy is a heavy metal icon all of a sudden. Seen him everywhere lately, including that Urn album art.

Yeah it is all of a sudden isn't it? Pretty fucking random but cool as fuck, his art style rules it's sort of in the vein of old Away stuff.
