Notice a trend? My mood is usually affected by the music I'm listening to, not vice versa.

I really have no correlation with my mood and music. When I'm angry I'll listen to anything, when I'm sad I don't always listen to something sad. I have before though, like the topic poster, Chimaira seems to be good for anger. Maybe I should do that whenever I have a strong feeling.

angry: Meshuggah - Chaosphere works fine, also SYL-City...a few songs will do
"sad": Neurosis, Novembre for example
happy: Devy, prog metal, melodeath

and for those moments when you're thinking "I'm going insane": Synchestra (Devy)...this one helps a lot

usually the only mood i associate with music is when i am upset or depressed, then i listen to iron maiden. usually i go through different stages during the day.

early morning-softer power metal or iron maiden (nothing too heavy)

early/mid afternoon-heavier power metal, melodic death metal, i.e. athiest, in flames, death, arch enemy. something heavy, but with a melody.

late night-fast, catchy maiden, heavy death metal, not melodic. something i can thrash about to. i.e. behemoth, cannibal corpse, etc.
