Metal for the Parents

Of course bands can be wrong about their own music you moron. Many nu-metal bands call themselves metal, and many metalcore bands call themselves death metal.

Get over yourself - you obviously don't know anything about emo if you can't see something as fucking simple as Envy being emo.

Possible of course, but common, no. If anything, a commercial band might try to market themselves as something they're not, but a band like Envy, who are on a respected indie label and have a close relationship with bands like Mogwai? I don't think so somehow. Labels like that have a clear vision of the rosters they want to cater for a specific style or artistic direction. Emo (in today's representation) doesn't fit that.

Who gives a shit about TODAY'S REPRESENTATION of emo. The mid-80s definition is still the correct one, and guess what - Envy fits that.

So when they came up with that band name, did they intentionally spell it with a "y"? Or was it a spelling error? Not sure how prevalent English literacy was in Denmark back then.

*merciful
