I am going to be in Chi-town the first weekend of August, and I need a live-METAL music fix...

Other than Lollapalooza (which may or may not appeal to you) on that Friday through Sunday, there isn't a whole lot going on that weekend, at least not that I can find. Ted Nugent is playing House of Blues on Monday, Aug 6. There are a lot of killer shows in Chicago this summer, but that particular weekend looks less than promising.
