Metal mastering for max loud ???

Mastering is a complex matter, you don't think major labels are paying mastering engineers to just throw on a plugin preset do you?
To get maximum loudness requires an understanding of how the different frequencies in a mix can affect the final processing chain.

The best preset for all metal is "flat". Start from there.
Basically the finalizer and ozone do the same things.
The finalizer has a brick wall limiter in it, so I would not put a bwl before it.
You could dis-engage the bwl in the finalizer and put ozone after it or dis-engage the bwl in ozone and put it before the finalizer. How ever you see fit.
*disclaimer. I don't use/own ozone and haven't seen a finalizer in over 10 years.
Man.......I can only imagine what it would feel like if I was a professional mastering engineer 10 years ago and then BAM now theres all these pre sets and shit........Those mastering dudes must be HURTIN!

Not really, Anybody who would consider using a preset to master there own stuff usually wouldn't have a clue on how to get stuff sounding good and loud at the same time anyway.
When was the last time you bought a cd or digital download from a successful artist who had recorded, mixed and mastered it themselves. Can you name one?
When considering how much time, effort, and money has been put into a recording and how much time effort and money still would have to go into marketing and promoting an album that is destined for a serious release, most people tend to get it professionally mastered. The $500 to $1500 it cost is not a big drop in the bucket, when compared to the alternative.
If it's just for friends and family, ozone and t rex in a home studio might do.
The other thing to consider is that there is a lot home recording and mixing going on now a day's in less than ideal acoustic environments.............. When people try to also diy master in those same conditions, same speakers, same set of ears... often, the results are less than stellar.
Professional mastering is the last place to get it right. So anybody who is good at it is not really hurtin per say.

I was told that there are some CDs out there mastered with Ozone and they sound great. Anyone knows about this? The reviews I read say that it kicks the Finalizer hard.
I got access to both of them and testing ATM (And yes, my next work is just for friends and fam)

Maybe not the same thing, but Andy and Joey both record, mix and master their own projects. I believe Andy even used the finalizer didn't he?

I personally would enjoy to hear some one on this forum master one of my mixes and I can compare and contrast between my and their mastering (some one who really specializes in mastering and has a suite). If im blown away, then maybe theyd had a lot of work ahead of them because I could then send bands to get their music mastered to them.
