they arent really pop punk, check out the cd. and their name was treason. there is vocals that are actally sung, but its screaming/growling for the most part.

correct me if im wrong someone who knows more about genre defining than i.

I gave them an honest listen and it really isn't my thing.

I would say it's more post-hardcore than anything, not really metalcore.

I like them mostly because that was the stuff that first got me into metal, and so ill always have a soft spot for hardcore type stuff in my heart.

Ah shit, I forgot to mention Underoath on my list of enjoyable metalcore. And by Underoath, I mean their second album, 'Cries of the Past'. Some fucking epic death and black-influenced metalcore there, the fagginess is kept down on that album, and it's almost entirelly screams and growling.

Yes Cries of the Past and Act of Depression are actually pretty good death/black influenced core from underoath... what went wrong?
