Metalcore

I like the following metalcore bands:

Blessing The Hogs
Lamb of God (early)
Biohazard
All That Remains (early)
God Forbid (early)
Turmoil

Out of the ones I listed I like Biohazard the best. Like most other metal fans, I am sick of it being done to death recently. Tired of the Triviums, Killswitch Engage, Funeral For A Friend etc.. They all sound the same. They are either half-ass melo-death or rip offs of that Dilliger Escape Plan sound.

I don't consider Lamb of God or God Forbid to be metalcore at all. Blessing The Hogs either.

I second the recommendation of 7 Angels 7 Plagues - Jhazmyne's Lullaby is a fantastic album. And cheers for the videos Vs, they were cool.

I agree with you about Lamb of God. But I do consider some God Forbid to be metalcore.

Indeed. The new Beneath The Massacre is heavily metalcore-slanted; it's on Prosthetic Recs so that's no real surprise; great CD.

Starkweather's a decent band, don't sound like stereotypical metalcore, surprisingly enough I heard them on Sirius Beyond The Pit, the show that features only death, black, and grind.

I just refer to them as metalcore basically cause they're widely recognized as that and as groove metal also. They have more groove influences to me.

I tried listening to Beneath the Massacre after the Devourment forum people were loving it, but it had too much noodling for me.

I have heard plenty of hardcore and even like some of it. I even referenced some earlier in the thread and am well-versed (well, moreso than most people here) on its history...
