This is question for all you thrashers out there. If metallica did the best album they have ever done next would you buy it?.Me personally i wouldn't give these fuckin traitors a dime or a second of my time even if it was the best thing ever (which it wont be) god have you ever seen a more miserable bunch of fuckin people in your life?.Whaa wer'e filthy rich and forgot how to play and i sing like a bitch and sue our fans...why dont people like us?:heh:

I like old Metallica, but i havn't bought anything after the black album. If i like what i hear from the samples and stuff off the new album then i'll buy the album but i think it's highly unlikely that we are going to see some groundbreaking material here.

boring. i buy music cause I like it. If the new Metallica is Killer, I´ll get it. but - Everything after 91 was shit, so it´s unlikely I´ll ever gonna spend money on them again.

But you´re right - they forgot how to play & jaymz sounds horrible now :(

and as for "traitors" - you are gonna pick up the new Testament, right? Ain´t Alex a traitor too cause he plays Jazz? - see, bullshit!

well to be honest i hate metallica right now and this new album will be the same shit than ST. ANGER... so Dont buy that crap, metallica is dead since Black album so... forget it, well thanx, TESTAMENT FOREVER:kickass:

Wow, what a complete tool
You sound more miserable than metallica ever were. Get over it.

no i dont consider alex a traitor at all not at all, alex left because he is such a talented musician that one genra could not hold him and he still plays his ass of no matter what he is playing he didnt dumb down his musician ship do songs with rappers and try and get trendy all for the sake of a buck, i cant wait for the new testament and really happy alex is back:kickass:

no mk93 i'm not miserable at all. I used to love metallica as much as anyone but they have sucked for far longer then they were ever good.Have you seen some kind of monster? how anyone can stick up for them after seeing that is beyond me,there is nothing to get over

I'm not sticking up for them or their music. I havent liked much of their shit since 1991. People just need to realise that they arent making metal to suit the masses anymore, and accpet their decision. If you don't want to buy their new album, then don't.:)

i was just trying to find out what others thought about it and posted my opinion as well, but i must respectfully disagree with you, they didn't used to make music for the masses, now they do, i feel they make music just to win grammy's ( except for saint anger when they tried to get their metal back) after losing to jethro tull.that is just my opinion...testament rules:rock:

If the music was killer then sure I'd buy it, but I really cannot see it happening. I actually liked Load and while I don't like it nowhere near as much as the classic first 5 albums, it was ReLoad that started off their road to shite music. For a band of over 25 years, their musical output has been terrible. 2 sessions of music writing in the past 16 years ffs (Load and ReLoad were written together), not counting their current studio session.

Anyway, I agree that they are a different bunch of guys that they were before they were millionaires. Their methods have changed, but in all honesty I don't hold it against for them for changing direction for the Load sessions. That's their right, however when they decide to play mostly stuff from their first 5 albums, it baffles me, because what's the point of writing and recording music that you don't play live?!

St. Anger was pure shite though. :Puke:

i agree in many ways, everyone can do what they want.and forget all the dirty things they have done,in all honesty as a musician i just cant respect people who dont play to the best of their abilities and stream line their music to 3 minute songs that dont really seem to be about anything jusy to get on the radio.in some ways it's almost heart breaking because meatallica was kind of metals ambassador and it seems like they have turned their back on everything that for years said they stood for,it just seems unneccessary they were selling out arenas for years before all this and the only reason for them to try and do a real album again is because they are taking shit.again thats just my opinion and i respect everones who has responded...thank god for testament they keep me alive:rock:

In the late 80's Metallica was crushing everyone, now Its pathetic to see this once great metal band slowly rot. The new songs sound like Alternative/punk so Im not anticipating the new one much.

hmmm it all really depends; granted I do like Metallica and my favorite Testament album is The Ritual (I don't like thier death metal attempts) however St. Anger wasn't really something great; I did like the song Some Kind Of Monster however I think Metallica should try to rework with the style they used for The Black Album; I would like to here that more as I detest most modern music (2000-Present). If they could do something to revamp the style of the Black Album then hell yes I would buy it... hell I think revamping the Load/Reload style would be awesome or the classical/metal combination used in Ride the Lightning ;...And Justice for All; S&M and by Yngwie but I didn't buy St. Anger and if they reload on the St. Anger sound then no I would not spend my money on it. As for downloading it depends; I would listen to the radio play first and if skeptical I will download 2 or 3 tracks so I can make a fair judgement on their current style of play (but if they go back to the trash metal style that would also be pretty cool).

Personally though I'm a rabid Alice in Chains fan so yeah... long live the Ritual :p

Not gonna download, just gonna buy I reckon...

I'll probably go against that, I mean I downloaded the two new songs, hehe

That satisfies my curiosity I can't imagine not hearing it first before giving them money ( i wont be doing either) it's nice to have insight from the people who are still with them.I love a.i.c. as well have you heard anything with the new singer? I have not but I here he is good but I can't imagine an album without lane unless it's cantrell singing.

What do you think of the two new songs?I heard the music was good but the vocals sucked
which is pretty much what I excpected. But I personally haven't heard them.

lets just say I hope they erase those songs and write something heavy and thrashy again, because the songs sound punk, pop radio rock.
I will shit if Metallica make a strong comeback, but with Rick Rubin as the producer it will probably sound like a SOAD album production wise. I heard rick rubin has talked them into going to key of E again, which I think is a good thing because I hated all the Load shit in Eflat, and I hate that southern rock voice james made all the time in the 90's. Tallica still need some drastic work musicaly, production wise, and attitude wise... there would have to be a strong fan reaction and effort for me to just buy this "sinking ship" bands new album. Hurry the fuck up Testament!
