Comparing Overkill to anything nu-metallish is simply ridiculous and offends this fantastic Thrash Metal band. Go and listen to "From the underground and below" again and then say that it's even slightly nu-metallish. Frantic' s nu-metal influences aren't too big, but quite obvious; and there are no nu metal elements in Overkill's music, not even slight. And, yes, James fucking SUCKS on this one. Why can't he sing like on Kill or Justice? He's nothing compared to Blitz (the singer of this nu-metal band overkill) and, of course, less then nothing, compared to Chuck. Lars hasn' t learn how to play drums after over these 20 years and is just becoming worse. He sucks. However, it was only a live performance and James often sucks live, Lars too (of course) and the album might be way better than what we've heard. It's just a possibility, but so many journalists have been marveling at "St. Anger", that I have a very little hope (yet, some hope) the new album won't suck as much as the "Loads" of shit. Still, the new TESTAMENT album will surely be one of Thrash Metal's finest records ever. I'm pretty fucking sure about it

Dude, I was saying that it sounded about as nu-metal as those Overkill albums, which is not very much. Things like the "Necroshine" and "It Lives" verse riffs have slight things in common with nu, except for the sucking part. And that's what I'm saying about this...it has the aggression/bottom-heaviness of nu, but not the part where all the musicality and melody gets shat on.

What is it with everyone that they go psycho whenever they hear the word "nu-metal"? By nu-metal, I mean the bottom-heavy, more-groove-than-thrash stuff, that starts to suck when you take all the musicality out of it like most nu-metal bands do. When you leave the musicality in, that's what I hear in some parts of Necroshine and Underground, and that's what I hear in Frantic.

I heard a 30-second studio clip of it, and I thought it sounded better than the Icon performance. Not too much, though. Still rather mediocre.

anyways, if this is what the hype is all about, well shit.....Dirt was right - IT'S GONNA SUCK! sounds very nu metalish. the korn and godsmack crowd will eat it up.

Black Album is a solid straight-up metal album...Load is a piece of shit with a couple decent songs around tracks 4-7, forget the names. ReLoad starts out nice, then quickly dives into mediocrity and shitty stuff; the reward for those who bothered to listen to the whole thing is FiXXXer at the end, which kicks ass.
