Why ain´t there a Michael Romeo Sign. guitar?
As far as I know he has been an endorser for quite some time.
And he is a great guitar player. So,...what about your Sign. guitar
Mr. Romeo.
ESP MII Custom or whatever....

There probably isn't a Romeo signature guitar, first of all, because its really no different from a standard M-II, and second of all because he's not a very well known guitarist compared to some of their other signature model players.

According to Mike he does endorse ESP but they wont let him really design what he really wants I guess, at least thats what he said. Right now hes checking out Caparison Guitars since they will let him build a sig guitar from the ground up, and they are kick ass guitars anyways..It would be sweet if he get some extra frets (27+) that should open up some nice new tonal possabilitys for him..mabie even a 7 string?!?!

@RobbM - What you're talking about is called the "LAG Stephan Forte signature Beast".

A signature guitar line means ESP would have to sell enough of it to be worth the advertising. And since the US (market) sucks it means it'd only be releasable in Japan and (optionally) Europe, so you can't get it. :D

Additionally, Mike's guitarist fanbase members generally play for more than 2 years, so his name wouldn't mean that much.

I think Romeo will have more luck designing a signature guitar* with a 'botique' guitar brand.

* - Considering he really wants something different which I doubt.

no Caparison Guitars makes 27 fret guitars as well as LAG..Evergrey Signatures are 27 fret..not a 7 string but im sure they could do it if you wanted it....Honestly I think Caparison Guitars look way better than LAG's..decient price too, around $1400-1700 US

Ive read Romeo isn't interested in 7 strings because he's already tuned to D, so it wouldnt make too much sense for him. Where did you read he was checking out Caparison, btw?

oh, a little secret fire side chat with the Fan Club members with Mike..I was unable to attend due to short notice :(. The transcript is up on the fan club site..He had nothing really to say about the guitar, just that he was sent one to check out...I hope he digs it..he should....
I know a 7 string is kinda pointless for him, but its nice to hear someone who knows how to play, play them...not that Korn nu-metal shit.

actually, I just looked at the fan club site and cant find a link to it. It may be "For Fan Club Eyes only" im not sure, ask Jax if you can get a link to it if you want to read it..

Yes ı think M. Romeo deserves to be endorsed but it would be a stupid idea for esp to endorese him because as far as ı know the only difference from the standart MII is the pickups ?which can be chanced of course, so pointless

the forte sig is my dream guitar

One other reason why ESP aren't doing a signature model is because I think they might have some loyalties to Seymore EMG (the two pickup brands I loathe).

I'm not sure if ESP use DiMarzios on any of their guitar lineup though they should.
