ok, I'll end it. after a series of blows it looks like Mike will win this bout, but what's this`? With a hellish shriek Peter summons a pack of hounds from hell and they bite Mike's peepeeman off. Peter wins!

but Mike eat them 'cause he's Satan :D why are we comparing 2 different styles? :) It's like comparing My Dying Bride and Katatonia..

Yeah that song is one of the highlights of the DVD, but the whole thing is fucking brutal. The actual DVD sounds like 10 times better than the youtube shit, which actually sounds pretty bad in comparison.

Wow nice.... WHY DOESN'T HE GROWL LIKE THAT ALL THE TIME lol. Defenately going and grabbing this finally, now that I have some inspiration

yeah dude, he should growl like that more often, the re recorded songs from 10 years of chaos and confusion would sound so much better

I chose Mike. I chose Mike because I feel his vocal style, especially for Bloodbath is wayyy more fierce, and just sounds more evil all around. Kinda choppy, unfinished. Peter's vocals were on a much lighter scale, and cleaner, on top of some lighter instrumentals too. NMF is obviously cleaner the RTC, but at the same time, RTC is more heavy and unpolished. It was a hard decision.

I voted for Satan! Am I the only one who isnt impressed by the destroys wacken thingy?

Nope, you're not alone. I checked it out long ago when Tumn mentioned how brutal Peter is on the album...he sounds better on Nightmares Made Flesh and I still prefer Mike.

But again, the key word is "prefer" because I do really like Peter's voice...it just doesn't rock my face the way Mike's does. Meh, I don't really know why I'm replying to this either...I'd love for this discussion to end :erk:

Let us hear then :)

ah dude now I'm confused, now I think both use the same technique except they simply sound different.

there you go, this is not the barking technique but the "frying" one when you strain the throat while pushing air out of the belly.

Bastard Son of God

I learned it while listening to Akerfeldt, and the barking one while listening to Tagtgren, but like I said, i don't think Peter uses the barking technique, he just sounds like that sometimes, because there is more vibration in his growl

mike is better overall(imo) his bands are better(opeth.........steel ). i tired of hypocrisy pretty fast and pain is awful in my opinion(sorry tumn )
