i checked there,, all i found was the equipment list,, not mikaels and peters rigs which is what im after

they use a boss gt6 (or gt8 now) + the amps listed on the page. not more

just a guitar into a gt-6 into a laney head...they have changed again...i think mike is using the toni iommi sig? a while ago, i heard that mike cranks the mids on his amp...bottoms out the lows and highs, then dials in the other eq on the gt-6, along with distortion, and effects. their live sound is definetely mid-heavy...with soft highs, so that set-up seems to sound right. lamentations is very mis-representative of their live tone...especially the heavy set...that tone is actually from a modded jcm-800 (supposedly - heard it on the harmony central forums)

Mike: PRS --> gt-6 --> Laney TT100H head.
Peter: PRS --> gt-6 --> Laney GH100TI Tony Iommi sig head.
that's their setup on SOTU, on Lamentations over America Mike was using the TT100H and Peter was using a VH100R.

Yeah, Mike definitely uses the GT6, into a GH100L, a TT head or that Iommi sig.
Peter goes into a VH100R, probably GT6, but I've read somewhere that it was a GT3 or GT5, not TOO sure though.

Live, they use the GT's (before 3, now 6 or 8) for distortion and fx. The Laneys are only there for amplification and colorization.

How they get such an godlike tone out if it is beyond me, but someone pointed out that Mike used the peavy 5150 sim on the gt-6.

I can't wait to get the search function back on. Remeber a month or two ago they said it would be back? :Smug:

yea, i wonder that too. that you dont get their studio tone at home is old news but even their live sound is damn good, especially for that minimal amount of gear they use...
