Hi guys, sorry that we've kept you waiting but we listened to EVERY mix proposal on this topic and on our mails and that took a little bit longer that we thought. First of all we would like to thank you all for your job and involvement. We were surprised by the number of proposals and their diversity. We want to let you know that were in advanced talks with some guys from this forum and as soon as we will decide, we will inform you with whom we have a deal.
Regards
Sothoth
Holy shit. So much punch in the kick, I love the soft double bass part , with the huge punchy kick doing the 2 hits. The kick seem maybe a bit too loud during the slow parts tough, but maybe its me its 4 am
Man I'm pissed that I'm too late. Either way, I did a quick mix for fun. Awesome tracks, and thanks for giving everyone something to mess around with. I've learned a lot about my mixes after hearing everyone elses.
i just wanted to try my new slate files and nevermind the contest is over, this is my version and also my first post. the amp simulator is from cubase 5 and i like the overall vintage sound i didn`t use my better headphones, but it was fun to try. check it out: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6250340/sothoth%20fox%20remix.mp3
The band sent the record over to me on DVDs, but just as it arrived they apparently had some issues with their budget and had to cancel the process. It's unfortunate, but we never got a chance to work together. I was taking a massive pay cut too - way less than my usual, just to be able to work with them. But hey, it happens. Hope it turned out well for them all the same.
Lol, even if there is no contest I just can't leave this mixing and decided to trigger snare too, and reamp guitar tracks.
Is it me or in some mixing posted i can't hear bass guitar?
I hope this band will make contest next year! https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/SOTHOT - track 1.mp3?w=eba49f7f&dl=1
