Holy kick-pumping Batman!
Bass "twang" actually hurts my ears. Kick and snare sound like there's a blanket over them.
Possibly too much reverb on the vox.
Vox mix on the chorus is just completely wrong with very noticeable ducking.

Still a bit muddy because I was trying new things (tape saturation on master bus, leaving more lows in guitars) but I promise if I ever do a final, I'll fix those up!

The most listenable one so far.
Some notes:
Snare seems distracting - a bit "distant" from the rest of the mix.
Vox on chorus (the ones that go "aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh") have noticeable ducking which is distracting.
Guitar mix is pretty good, with the overdub solo-thingy during the chorus sitting nicely with the rest.
Mute the drums and bass for the bit that has the gated guitars before the solo (my personal preference).
The bass "twang" is a bit distracting - perhaps tame it a bit more.

Since this thread is still going, I thought I'd help out the new posters.
Mix is not great. The drums are terrible. Snare sounds like someone hitting a trash can, kick is non-existent and the cymbals sound terribly thin. I'd add more grindage to the bass guitar too.

and Ola thanks to you too, i now have something to practice mixing on, but i mostly had crapy tracks to mix so far, so my question is how were the guitar DI's made? ibanez --> ______--> interface ? cuz i didnt have to do much to them except apply ampsims.

here is my first try, i'd really make drums better with MIDI, but the exported drums arent that bad, its just this quiet snare comapred to kick so i got clicky drums a bit, will try to balance them somehow...

Tnx. The solo part without the rhytm, that was missing in the first post, sounds cool, its reminds me of Pantera Psycho holiday solo part, really AWESOME song here.

Thanks man ! Yeah I threw that together pretty quickly when I did that mix , and I also noticed all the things you pointed out, when I listened to it the next day. I'll try to post an updated mix sometime soon , busy mixing other stuff right now.
