OPETH Reveal Titles For Upcoming Albums - Sep. 4, 2002

OPETH have set Deliverance as the title of their forthcoming "heavy" CD, which is due on October 28th, while the more "mellow" follow-up will be called Damnation. As previously reported, Damnation is tentatively set for release in March 2003

OPETH have spent the last two months recording their two-album project in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Steven Wilson (PORCUPINE TREE). Five songs plus a short instrumental have been cut for the heavy album while another 10 were laid down for the more mellow record.

5 songs? Could it be similar to Morningrise/Orchid?
 
6 songs. And no, it will probably be like a further progression from where they left off.
 
the heavy one is called deliverance and the mellow one damnation? it sounds like it should be the other way around...maybe they're pulling a MotW?
