Most anticipated albums for 2007

I kinda want Anathema to keep doing their thing. Don't expect them to move backwards in their sound, because it isn't going to happen. I'm glad that they are doing their own thing. That being said...

And yes, no matter what they did with St. Anger, Metallica are a bunch of magnificent musicians with the capabilities to write supreme material and especially with Rick Rubin at the helm, I have good hopes.

On Typo, it seems they kinda rushed their last album, which was kinda weak i.m.o., to fulfill their contract with Roadrunner, so with the sky cleared I have good hopes for their new stuff as well.

Haha...they only officially announced it just earlier this month. I just hadn't checked up on them.

Yeah...I still think Metallica may release something good, but I really don't have high hopes. I will just get the album when it is released.

As for Type O, I haven't heard any of their newer material, really. But it will be interesting to see what they come up with after all this time.

I wish. I hope that they'll at least tour! I saw them at some fest where the set wasn't very long, and the sound was terrible. They played amazingly well, though.
 
2006 was a big year for me with both my two favourite bands (Katatonia and Madder mortem) releasing a new album. Seems like its gonna happen again in 2007... *drool*

Oh shit, yeah, I forgot about Bloodbath. That should be awesome. Hopefully a Hypocrisy and Opeth release too.
 
You know, I've been looking forward to the new Virgin Black for so long now that I'd be damn satisfied if this was the ONLY album I was looking forward to in 2007. I'm almost 100% certain it will be worth the wait. This project is just too ambitious to result in failure, hehe.

And, IF Katatonia releases an album this year, I think ultimately this could be one heck of a year.

Opeth, as well, is said to be working hard on their followup to their album of the year Ghost Reveries. It should be released this year.

Man, you put in the likes of Antimatter, Porcupine Tree and Orphaned Land and I'm just amazed with what this year potentially has in store. All I can say is, good stuff!


Sadguru: Is it true? About Portishead and even Tenhi - new stuff out this year? Niice!
P.S. Have you checked out the new project from Duncan Patterson, yet - Ion? I currently have it on order - jesus, this stuff is good!
