Most anticipated albums for 2007

hmmm

so Novembre
NIN
...Green Carnation?????
Pain of Salvation(released last week)
Porcupine Tree (YESS!!!!)
Dream Theater
...hopefully dream theater will do something like uh.... different. the last 4 albums have basically just been the same thing over and over again. so i am hoping they take a chance and experiment... they have the skill they just need to well put it to practice.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, I just said that I don't like them.

Russel Allen is one of the best vocalists in this time, so is Tony Kakko.

I don't listen to Killswitch or Hed PE, I have a queer roommate. I explained this earlier on the forums. Black Dahlia Murder isn't all that bad actually once you get past the vocals.

Don't even talk about bad vocals. Especially if it concerns Coheed and Cambria.

Black Dahlia Murder made one At The Gates tribute cd, then ran out of ideas on the second...became really stale, really fast.

And I hate Slaughter Of The Soul as it is.

If you wanna copy a good cd, copy Subtteranean!

I'm also looking forward to a full length debut by an instrumental band called Kenoma. Should be awesome.

The new Machine Head ain't too bad so far, good stuff..

WOO - HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have guitar tone!!!!!!!!! And I'm not talking your average chugga-chugga metal tone, I'm talking face-peeling, ear-shredding savagery... fuck yeah!!! Hetfield eat your heart out! Woo-hoo! FUCK!... this is awesome!!! I'm telling you fuckers, this shit is a monster!!! It's a big, ugly, dark, mean, fiery, beautiful, beast of a monster! Jesus H. Fucking Christ on a crutch!!!!!!!??????... SICK!!!!!!!! So epic, it sounds like The Bible!!! I was like, WOW!... wait, is that good? oh my God's were uttered, heads were banging and horns were flying!!! DA MUTHA FAWKIN BOMB MAN!

Anyways. Why would you wanna listen to a band like Machine Head...They made some overrated records, turned into a nu-metaljumpdafuckup band, then decided they wanted to be "uber-medal", get rid of the chains and the highlighted hair, grow the hair back....And now they are officially super cool metal dudes cause they have long songs and got reputation from true 13 year old metal heads.

Hail Satan.

Haha, I agree Mr. Flynn's a bit over-enthusiastic at times

But the man's right actually, the guitar sound is indeed extremely good, brutal and heavy.

The new Paradise Lost album will be the highlight for me i think.
Hopefully a new Katatonia, but i`m very doubtful.

How could I forget...Can this be Dawn's golden year to put out an album?

Slaughtersun is a black metal masterpiece...very much overlooked. I suggest everyone get it...somehow...it's rare. Though there is a 2cd collection out there with most if not all of their discog.

THIS HAS TO BE THE YEAR!!!

Agreed. Slaughtersun is one of my top BM albums.

The first 2 albums are indeed regarded classics and rightfully so. Milestone Metal albums.

And all the nu-metal flirting they got accused of is a big pile of horsedung for the most part and was mostly fuelled by the fact that they recorded with Ross Robinson, at that time producer of Korn and Sepultura's "Roots". What everybody ignored was the fact that this album ("The Burning Red") in fact didn't sound like those bands at all. It's got groove, of course, nothing wrong with that, but it features some of their most melodic and intense stuff they put out. Great record.

And definitely, "Supercharger" wasn't too good, to say the least.. and actually the last album is indeed over-rated, cause it really has only one good song..

My first impression of this new album is pretty good, but I said the same thing about the last Moonspell and Necrophobic when I first heard those and those unfortunately didn't last, so let's see...

Can't argue taste, but my impression is that Robb Flynn is a genuine and honest musician, whether you like his music or not.
