Most depressing metal album of all time...

Plz don't say "DamnAtioN" lol

Fall of Empyrean - A Darkness Remembered

especially the songs 'Slowly dying inside' and 'A Mourner's Tears'

The June Frost is more depressing than anything I have by Esoteric so far, but The Maniacal Vale is all around godly. Some parts of Brave Murder Day have that depressing melodic beauty (Brave/Endtime mostly). The Mantle is only depressing at parts, like obviously A Desolation Song.

Dirge for November is up there to but the album its in is obviously not.

Hmmm...interesting....I have a few candidates....

Shining - V - Halmstad (this is obviously meant to be quite depressing)
Riverside - Second Life Syndrome (the lyrics are easy to identify with when you are dealing with a failing relationship)
Porcupine Tree - Fear of A Blank Planet (everyone hates on the lyrics of this album, but they capture disillusioned youth so well)
Forgotten Tomb - Songs to Leave (a classic doom metal piece)

man i saw the title of the thread and i knew wander would post something like
"I saw the title of the thread and I immediatly knew that Arasmas would post something along the lines "metal albums are so bad it's depressing"

How right was I?"

how right was i?

Wow dude, you were really right! Weird how we two seem to be reading each others thoughts. Soul mates or something?
