What metal bands that you've heard sound the least like all the other metal bands you've heard?

I vote Gorguts and Burzum.

Anacrusis, At the Gates (first two), Confessor, Demilich, Mayfair, Secrecy, and Spectral Incursion, although even in all of those (except probably Mayfair) there are still noticeable influences if you look for them or cut thinly enough. Of course, there are also metal bands like Cynic and Voivod that sounded like little metal of their time, but had more obvious influences outside of metal. And you can still find later clones of those bands as well.

EDIT: Yeah, Mayhem too.

Occult themes aside, the trend in stoner rock and its cousins is to cop the 60's/70's sound of their favorite artist. Royal Thunder does it with Heart and the like. An innumerable smattering of bands are doing it with Sabbath. Sound-wise, Ghost is nothing special.

That being said, I can't think of any other bands that have a custom dildo.

Cryptopsy, D.R.I., Napalm Death, Fear Factory, CELTIC FROST, Metallica, Death, Decapitated, Miasma, Psycroptic, Deicide.
I think when it comes down to it, Demilich and Gorguts have the most distinctive sounds within the Death Metal genre.

2:48 what the fuck is that shit? I haven't heard anything like Obscura...

The riffing is unorthodox and I honestly think that trying to copycat Demilich or Gorguts is near impossible.
