What's the heaviest DM you've heard? It doesn't have to be brutal like suffocation, because iron maiden is as heavy as some death metal bands just cause the riffs are so metal. For the heaviest...I'd say Peace Sells, None So Vile, and Black Metal (Of the entire Metal genre)
For death metal...
None So Vile
Covenant
Legion

I would probably say Paradise Lost's debut album is hard to top in terms of sheer heaviness.

I think heaviness is largely dependent on production, and it helps if the production is dynamic and not so overcompressed like most music these days. Lost Paradise has a rather dynamic production and it helps that this doom-influenced death metal is more dynamic in style than standard death metal.

Behemoth - Demigod
Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked
Dying Fetus - War of Attrition
Aborted - Global Flatline

NS Death Metal band? You mean National Socialist? If so, no. Why the hell would you think that?

The swastika in the middle of the pentagram.
It doesn't completely mean they are a NS band, but it came to mind when I saw it.
