Most recognizable vocalists in metal

I know everyone hates him now (not me) but...
Anders Friden
Agreed.
This should go in controversial opinions but his performance on the last two albums is far more original and passionate than his vocals on the old material, which were fine but pretty bland.

Not at all. The only similarity is that they both sometimes use pretty raw, untrained half-singing. Except that Friden is a lot better at it and has a very different voice and basically just isn't analogous to Korn at all. The only reason people make the comparison is because IF released two incredibly shitty nu-metalish albums.

Borderline to metal (most of you will say not metal) but Axl Rose is possibly the most distinctive voice in music (maybe Bob Dylan too).

Will agree with Peter Steele big time.

I am going to second King Diamond since only Krampus has mentioned him. Truly remarkable and unique.
