Movies

Whoa, didn't know that was the sequel. Definitely need to see that now, and Vince Vaughn of course fucking rules.

Going to watch Life of Brian now.

Confidence - decent con-artist movie. Bought it in the $5 bin instead of paying $4 to rent it. Nothing superb, but not a bad 90 minutes, either.

I actually really liked this movie. It helps that Rachel Weisz is one of the 3 most beautiful women on the planet.

I watched Cube Zero last night, which I thought was a very cool take on the series (if you've seen the others). I liked seeing "behind the scenes," though there is still so much left unanswered IMO. Great gore, as always.

Get Shorty

A fun film. Travolta was great in it, and Dennis Farina is just hilarious. I look forward to seeing the sequel with Vince Vaughn as a wigger and The Rock as a gay Samoan bodyguard, plus it's got Uma Thurman and that hot Latina singer.

The sequel is supposed to suck to no end. Get Shorty is sort of a cult classic (like Pulp Fiction), but all reviews indicate the sequel should have never been made.

Requiem for a Dream.
Excellent movie, very dark and realistic. This really hits home since I know people like this and similar situations that have happened.

I've seen that movie 3 times now, and it doesn't get any easier to watch with repeat viewings

that movie is just too real ... if you have a surround sound system, it is worse tenfold.
the soundscapes the director made are brutal.

i watched/heard thousands of movies on my home theater ... but that one was the one that left the biggest impact.

Definitely. I cringe every time I think of the scene where his mother is grinding her teeth from the speed. Ugh, brutal sound is correct.
