Movies

ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER ... hmm ... I don't know why I always give Almodovar movies a chance ... ok, was not bad ( a complete chick flick) ... but his movies always play like tele-novelas.

kickass, i want to see that one when it hits the theatres out this way.

ghost in the shell 2

had some serious wtf? moments, but overall pretty good. visuals and music were pretty damn stunning, even i was very hesitant at the computer animation backgrounds at first.

I was lucky enough to be at the premier, fucking superb atmosphere, loved it

In the last two days I've seen the Island, which was entertaining, Faust (the 1929 one) which was pretty cool, Whisper Of The Heart (Miyazaki anime, not his best), Batman Returns, and Skeleton Key. Also Shake Hands With The Devil, documentary about Romeo Delaire and the Rwanda Genocide. Eye opening and sickening at the same time. Next up every single film at Frightfest, Friday the 13th, Razorblade Smile (in preperation for frightfest), and The Isle (ditto!).

I have me some catching up to do in movie watching

Saw The Devil's Rejects the other week - fuckin' loved it, really raw, energetic, gritty filmmaking. Going to see that Crash flick tomorrow with the missus, heard good things about that one. Been watching The Usual Suspects again too - awesome film.

"Some guy fingered my asshole tonight."

"Is it Friday already?"

Just because I am bored, here's my top 5 movies of all time, in no particular order:

Feel free to contribute.

dr. strangelove

my Top 5 in no particular order ... well except Goofellas is and always will be #1

Goodfellas
Dazed and Confused
Thelma and Louise
Reservoir Dogs
Shawshank Redemption

Battle Royale

this movie BTW is one of the most overrated schmalzy dramas I have ever seen.
been longing to see it for years ... and then I did some months ago ... and I was like WTF???? it was like "One life to live" with some blood thrown in ... fuckign love triangles, I like you, you like me ... please someone enlighten me on the genius of this film

lolz it rulez thatz why lozlz.zozlz. i dunno. good fun action and i dug the characters. nothing original. just cool.

dazed and confused is probably my number one "i want to live in this movie" movie.

i wasn't as affected by requiem like so many others were. i did really like it, but it didn't completely fuck with my head like i was waiting for. eraserhead on the other hand...

God almighty that movie kicks so much ass, it was going to go in my Top 5, but the 'Saints got in there just for repeat value and priceless scenes. Ie. "Cuddle?... What a fag..." :tickled:

that movie fucked with my head for days ... you really need to watch/hear it on a killer Dolby Digital system ...as the soundtrack is a complete mindfuck

The soundtrack was definately one of the best parts of the movie, along with the direction, the dialogue, the acting, the direction...
I can't really think of anything I DON'T like about that movie really, even the stunned/depressed feeling you get after watching it adds to the experience.

someone recommended MEAN CREEK here ... what a great movie ... a real downer in some ways ... but very realistic in others.

I watched it with three opiate addicts, that really puts some things into retrospect...
