The interesting thing spaffe, is this was mainstream in the middle ages. I know some sects of catholicism still place most of the emphasis on ones endural of pain to become closer to Jesus.

yeah i belive it's somewhere in the the philippines that some hardcore devotees each year voluntarily chooses to be crucified

Kill Bill vol. 2

That shit ruled. I hope they come out with a Special Double Decker DVD Package Poops soon so I can buy them both.

I hope they come out with a version of Kill Bill 2 that was actually good! Or at least ending it with a proper goddamn 20 minute fight instead of that lame-ass 5 finger peck on the cheek. She might as well have tongued his balls. :loco:

Well, in that case, I'm surprised you were even concious enough to watch it because if you thought that 5 second hand slap "rocked", the ending of pt 1 should have left you in an awe-induced 10 year coma! :loco:

I liked how the final showdown was more keen on explaining everything than a huge fight as with the others. Also I was extremely happy that they didn't say "let's never fight again!" and hug then raise little B.B. together as a happy assassinating nuclear family.

It's odd because Kill Bill pt 1 had thrown the premise out there as an homage to Bruce Lee's Game of Death. Now I now GoD was only half complete because Lee died during the making of it, but it still has that absolutely glorious ending where he goes through the several levels with a big boss on each, all with their own unique fighting styles etc. Of course, the Big Boss is played by Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Anyway, that's what I was hoping for in part 2. I just wanted to see the showdowns with each boss get more and more intense, where Bud would use his own sword, and Bill would be surrounded by henchmen armed to the teeth, etc.

Part 1 had the showdowns, weird moments of manga...I dunno, I just hoped for Kill Bill 2 to follow suit as opposed to become a 3 hour movie of people just talking.

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo

Haha that shit ruled. Typical SNL-alum formulaic movie, but who cares? It was funny! I want to see The Animal now.

Yeah, the only censored part that pissed me off was what's-her-nuts Tourette's scene, although it was still funny.

Too bad, 'cause that's one of the funniest scenes.

ANyone else watch Rudy this weekend? I tell ya, this movie never fails to move me. The ending is so perfect, and the fact that it is a true story makes it even more powerful. Easily one of the best sports movies ever.

1. The Natural
2. Hoosiers
3. Field of Dreams
4. Major League
5. Rudy

Rudy is a great movie.

I saw Intolerable Cruelty on HBO last night ... the Clooney / Zeta Jones flick. I thought this was going to be some cornball love fest.

THis fucker was really funny ... typical Coen bros oddball shit. Clooney was funny as shit in it. Basically an extension of his O Brother Where Art Thou character ...

If I ever got a chance to nail Catherine Zeta Jones I'm not sure if I would, because my life would never get better from there on out.

Haha, because beauty = a good lay, right? :loco:

Yeah, I was surprised at how funny George Clooney could be, but now with this and O Brother, he should do more comedy roles and fewer Batman and Solaris remakes.

Catherine Zeta Jones....holy moses, build me an ark cos I'm creamin' a flood here!

So why is that then? I know I don't get NFL, but to me, this movie has some short fat guy working his ass off to eventually play 3 seconds as a sub when the team was going to win anyway? Maybe it's an American thing, because I don't get how not actually doing anything made him such a hero.

Same with Miracle. What the fuck? Americans play four sports that nobody else gives a shit about and yet they cheer when they win one of those events in the Olympics? Why shouldn't the US win each and every time at NFL (I doubt if there's even enough countries playing this seriously to make it an international event?), Baseball, Ice Hockey, and Basketball? If anything, it's more of a shock when they don't win, right?
