Movies

I have no problem with the directing style at all! I like all Michael Mann movies, especially Heat and The Insider. I think he also bleaches the film a tad also, just because it's got a blue tint to it. Is that bleaching method? Can't remember...I know Spielberg overexposes to get that Saving Private Ryan effect. Anyway, I've liked him since Miami Vice!!

Not sure if I've seen a movie recently without product placement! It just totally goes over my head these days, like anything pop culture.

Is anyone going to go check out Jessica Alba as Sue Storm?

No, his directing style rocks. I just felt the product placement was particularly obvious in this one :) But still, a cool movie. Finally got round to seeing Equilibrium yesterday. Pretty, but the plot was holier than the bible...

I am a complete Michael Mann freak also ... I like all his "blue tint" movies ... Heat, The Insider and my favorite ... THIEF!!!

Saw MAN ON FIRE recently ... that movie was balls out awesome. Best work that Tony Scott ever did.

What movies have you seen lately, whether it be at the theater or rentals? I've seen these within the past few days:

Jeepers Creepers 2
What a disappointment. In fact, this was crap. The Creeper was cool as hell, but those damn kids were horrible actors given shitty lines. I wanted them all to die. On top of that, the movie wasn't even scary

IMO, worst movie in existance. I was so pissed.

saw station agent this weekend and i can't say i liked it very much. the main character was kind of likeable but the other two were just horrible and especially that cretin selling coffee from his truck. that's the definition of the kind of people i detest most of all; simple, loud, persistent, "funny and wild" etc etc, bleh. too bad the midget didn't puch him in front of a train, that would have been fitting

Lycantropen is EEEWIIRRDDS

I don't think I understood it at all, but then again, maybe I'm searching for a much deeper meaning than what I saw. I liked it though. Steve Ericsson did a great job with the film.
