I have like 20 gigs on it so far...probably will slowly fill it up to 40gigs over the next few months by ripping unripped CDs and the like.

The very first song that came up on my very first 20-gig shuffle was Iron Maiden's live "Prowler"!

I just got a new generation iPod and I'm having an absolutely terrible time getting all of my music on it. Apparently half of my music is in WMA format and licensed so I can't put it on iTunes so I have to re-rip it. This is going to be a looooooooong couple of days before I can even put it on my iPod

okay i had my first Nomad problems last night. after loading half my collection on, i tried to load the other half and it kept saying "player not found". since Nomad doesn't have good support, i had to hunt around online.

the bottom line is that a quick google and about ten minutes of poking around told me how to reboot the machine, and advised i update the firmware. that took about five minutes. now it works fine.

still enamoured with it! still glad i spent $250 instead of $500 (ipod) for the capacity i got.
