Mr V

Yum!! Is this thread gorgeous, or what?!?
I just got a really warm feeling! Might be cause
I've been listening to Borknagar's Empiricism,
but this was really nice to read, and I don't
want it to go by un-noticed!!

my parents would NEVER buy me any cd´s.they claim that "the blood is flowing already out when you open the cover".they say,
metal is too brutal.but well, they should see any death metal cover or so,THAT is brutal...they even said that edguy´s artwork is too brutal for them.*grrmph*

yes, that´s right...they´re VERY conservative.they are not religious or so,but they aren´t the youngest and didn´t ever noticed metal since i begain to listen to it.it´s a big part of my life and they don´t really accept it.that makes me sad...

Indeed. Hrm. Reminds me of my mother, after I bought Rammstein's Live aus Berlin a couple of years back I decided to put it on in the livingroom when I got home. Bad idea. She got home, opened the door, and uttered "nazi or satanist." Then she left.

Parents are all too narrow-minded.

Back to the topic... Vintersorg is great music. I can proudly present a collection including Cosmic Genesis, Ödemarkens Son, Till Fjälls and Hedniskhjärtad. Afaik that's all of them, and when it's released, I'll be right on ordering the Generator. It's all worth it, very well worth it.

Wow, Vanir... that's a very prejudice reaction to say the least
I must say that I would've been chocked and pissed if my mom
ever did that. Not to say that my mom is the coolest in the world
and such, but she even let me listen to Death etc in the living room.
(but I only played a couple of songs to be kind). The GOOD stereo
was there, and if she came home while I was playing she never
told me to turn of. And I never heard a single! comment about the
Obituary and Sepultura etc posters in my room (not that those
are the worst).. well well - you case is bad, I think...

I am SO looking forward to the Generator.. *drooling*

My parents only ask me to turn volume down sometimes.. but I agree that it's not really low volume when they ask it :D
They aren't any metal fans but can listen to it even when I put it on in car :)

metal in the car?i wouldn´t even try it...my parents alsways listen to radio nora.they only play oldies.aaaaaargh!!!!i´m so glad that i have a walkman...so:be happy if your parents accept your way of life and the music that you love...
