Mr V

Ah, thankfully I'm just living at home for another few months. I was moving home at a temporarily basis, but then I got a nice job not too far away, so,uh, I stayed.

Yes. And because I'm very ambitious, I also got leadership training
and ended up as a sergeant, and as next in command for a
troop of 50 ppl. (in pratice it really means I was in charge).
And I tell u this! If u ever think of doing the same, be strict,
but treat people with respect, and you WILL be awarded.
(Too many power-freaks as they get this power to control
others. It sickens me...)

Ok - so there u got it. :)

I'm joining the Navy in a couple of months...Everyone bitches about boot camp and whatnot, but I think it sounds exciting :D I can't wait to be stuck in a room full of teargas and having to recite my full name and social security number WITHOUT a gasmask  I'll be humming the song "Teargas" by Katatonia the whooole time too...

I'd like to add something to this "off topic" topic.
(Sofar) I spent half of my life with the army,
grown up with it, been working with soldiers, etc...
3 times I have seen teens & men going to war,
3 times I have seen wrecks coming back...
esp. those who where only 18 - 21.
They don't care what happen with the young soldiers.
All I can say, army suxxx... no social life there.

I had a great social life but I guess I was in a special situation
and also located near one of the best nightlife cities in Norway;
Stavanger.. so it all depends, I guess.
But of course, being at war is something totally different, so....

All those soldiers really need psychic help to get over the shit they been through, but they don't get it, the army does not care.
Of course, they are able to go out to club, etc... but they never can have a real social life, cause they are soldiers for 24/7, any time ready for going to war... It's a far to long story to write it all down and it would bring back very sad memories... I have seen too much... I'm glad I left it all behind.

i almost joined

...then I thought I wouldn't last even a week there
I get bored easily and I'm very fond of my freedom. Probably I would have escaped. :p
