My late christmas gift to you guize: Full song ready to be mixed

Hello all,

Been lurking around this forum for a long time, learned a lot progressing from a 4-track recorder, to a iMac with Logic

Here is my mix
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2412548/Output%201-2.mp3

This is the first mix I have posted online so i would appreciate any comments on this.

These were mixed in Logic 8, with DKFH and PODFarm

BTW, great song\di It has been a joy to mix :worship:

Once again great forum :headbang:

I was going to give this a go through the Cobra (well all my amps) when my Re-amp device arrives this week. But looks like it's been done to death.

So go record another song! :heh::heh:

I know, wrong song

Wife was gone for an hour, so tried the fatHead ribbon mike.
Will try the right song tomorrowmorning with the FatHead.
Just wanted to let you hear this. (sorry)

The Fat Head is great. I've never had a ribbon.
Compared to a SM57 its not as scratchy, and it has a lot of low end.
Its quiet also.

a blend of those would rock, i guess (listening on cans btw)
5150 has a bit too much midrange grind for this style, almost nasal in character. the rectifier is almost *too* fat....but if i had to pick one, recto all the way!
thanks, reminds me of how much i want a rectifier! :D

Here's my attempt. Goddamn Christmas song Mesa Studio TS10 Cascade FatHead
Signal chain guitars:
Radial X-amp>TS10>Mesa Studio Preamp>Peavey Classic 60/60>V30>Cascade Fat Head>Motu 896HD. (and then some post-eq)

I think I shouldn't have used the TS10, without it the guitarsound it is more gritty/bulgy.

Ola, thanks for shring these files.:kickass:

Ps. Yeah, there is some clipping. It's on individual tracks and I had no time left to turn 'em down.
