It's been a long time that i've seen a Mullet like the one Joey have.

That guy is so passe. Why they thought this "reunion" was a good idea, I'll never know.

As for my war wound, i HATE body surfers. That was cool back in 1990, I hate them with a passion. The first one was unexpected and between him falling on me and the bouncer pulling him over me to get him over the barricade,, he fell on me as I was over the barricade causing me to fall directing on my sternum getting a direct hit on top of barricade. Man, it hurts here and there. I survived though.

I hear ya. I hate that shit. If people actually did it right and kept their feet UP in the air it wouldn't be half as bad, but as a big guy (6'3") my head ends up being a target for the feet of those morons. I remember me and my buddies getting so pissed after getting kicked head repeatedly at Lollapalooza '96, that we actually started slugging each one of the fuckers that went over us from then on out. That was cathartic. I remember some greasy fucker kept elbowing me in the ribs at the same show during Metallica's set. I guess he figured I was standing too close to him (mind you, this was at a show with 30,000 people, 12,000 of which were smashed in like sardines in front of the stage.) About halfway through the set I finally got pissed and he ended up on his head eating a facefull of dirt.

By nature a pit should be ugly, but there's never an excuse for being an asshole. The only thing I hate worse than that is people throwing shit at the stage. Anybody thows anything at the stage near me, and the fucker gets whacked. I've seen too many good shows turn bad after a band member gets tagged with some random missle. Matter of fact, at the same show as above (it was a crazy show, he he) some guy tagged Jason Newsted in the head with a beer bottle in the middle of "One." Jason dropped his bass and ran off stage. The Mighty Hetfield (as he used to be known) came back and out and bitched at the crowd about it. I believe he said something like "I don't know about you guys, but if I knew who threw that bottle, I'd know what to do!" The crowd immediately starts beating the piss out of the guy that thew the bottle. The security guards had to jump into the crowd to pull the guy out. Haha! Man that rocked. Hetfield, needless to say, watched the whole thing and was impressed. The whole crowd cheered when they ejected the idiot. The show recommenced and was probably one of the best I've ever seen, to this day.

Man what a long rambling post. Sorry. It's Sunday afternoon, he he. In the end I'll sum up: "Don't be dick!" or you'll get what's coming to you in the end.

geeze..it looks like the fashion police are out in full force:ill:

Joey kicked ass in Detroit and I am sure it will only get better..I appreciate that Joey is an entertaining , old school, rock frontman....and so did most of the crowd in Detroit.... the guy seems to stick to his guns and never changed....awesome

Yes, 1987 called, and they want Joey's hair and pants back.

Sean - great to meet you! 96 shows! damn. I think after 95 shows you get your own stage shirt with your name & number on the back!!! hahaha. Sorry about passes, fucking Chicago House of Rules is a 3-ring Cluster Fuck everytime. Took me an hour and 3 cavity searches to get my passes. Remind me, I'll get you the hookup the next time they're in your neighborhood.

ahh still a few sooks on this board,if u dont like it its all the more reason for the optimists,we will enjoy the ride a whole lot better.

I went into this with a very open mind. I dig the stuff they've done with Joey, that's when I got into Anthrax. After seeing them live with Joey, then John, and now Joey again, there's no comparison, the post Belladonna material and shows kicks more ass to me. Maybe I was too aggresive with my post, but they don't have what they used to with this lineup. I understand that these were "warmup" gigs, but if any of you have seen Belladonna solo you'll know that just about his entire set is Anthrax material, he should be on like a motherfucker, and to me he wasn't. As one of the posts says above, the band just seemed like they were going through the motions. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was beyond disappointed with this show. Hopefully for the band the shows will get better, but I don't think it's gonna be 100% possible until Bush is back behind the mic.

What gives...I saw them with John many times and never did they reach the level I saw oon the old home videos hell not even close...in fact I cannot imagine they have less energy with Joey than with John, they were really lame live except for 2002 when they opened up for MOTORHEAD they were decent then....

I wil see for myself next saturday, but I am pretty confident I'll like it judging from some comments from American friends of mine who saw last nights show!

Dredd - thanks for being honest with your post. I was going to ask you to clarify your post but this reply answered it for me.

Yeah right. I thought Joey did great. He's no John Bush, but he was still very good. He is also---and I can't stress this enough--- a REALLY nice guy.

I respect your opinion, Justin! I guess I won´ t see or hear for myself in close future. I actually wanted to comment on the post above yours, but you know...I ain´t gonna.
