Sadly, I discovered I do like some black metal. Like Anaal Natrakh and Emperor...totally forgot about those.
Also, I don't really think Immortal is closer to thrash with lo-fi recording than black metal. All to themselves though...I do like them whatever they are. At the heart of winter and Sons of Northern Darkness are probably still my favorite album of them

Those are mostly bands from Greece and France,I dont think they are popular a lot.

Windir is considered Viking Metal, maybe that's why it's not in the list(for me it doesn't matter if it's viking, symphonic, atmospheric, ambient, NS or whatever, its still BM).
I gotta disagree with Watain - Sworn to the Dark being (so high) on the list.
Arcturus LMI isn't really BM, they should have put AHS instead.
Thorns should be higher.
I'm glad they mentioned In The Woods...
Also, where's Written In Waters, 666 International, Min Tid Skal Komme, Witchcraft & Soulblight?

To be honest, I don't give a shit what you listen and what you don't. BUT if you say, yeah BM sucks and they can't play, you're fucking cocksucking idiot poser. Emperor (obvious example) is the proof you need to hear, BM-bands can actually be really good players.
Metalcore sucks and if I were you, I would be ashamed of myself for listening stuff like that.
Yeah, it actually was pretty good list. But I would change like 50% of those.
Well to be exact it isn't. Early albums were BM and later albums had a lot of BM influences. They call themselves "nuclear metal".

And did you notice you have the same attitude to other genres than BM that you blame people have against BM?

I get your point. But you can't say all BM is just bad quality crap. "Bad" quality is pretty subjective thing and BM needs that kinda quality to succeed in it's mission: the message and the feeling.
I don't like metalcore, cus it's generic, it's trend, it's american shit, it's not creative etc. Oh, and it's really bad music overall.
I'm not hypocrite. I just know that BM isn't meant for everybody. The ideology behind BM, makes it unique.

I try to keep a open mind to music of all sorts. Strangely I can't see some bands even thrown into that term. I might aswell drag my damn halfstack to the forest with a tape recorded, press record and play some sloppy powerchords,scream and drum on some logs.
But thats just me.
