Just ordered this on word of mouth... I'm pretty sure it's no mistake, but maybe some of you can drop a few enlightening thoughts on what I'm to expect exactly? I read something about Tenhi meets Agalloch meets Sol Invictus...

I don't know how to describe this since I haven't heard it in a while, but I used to listen to it quite frequently. I say you've made a good move!

Otherwise, much more ambient/acoustic than Agalloch. It's not metal, put it that way. (Their debut is interesting, parts of it sound like Summoning, and I suppose that carries through -- think kantele and springtime evenings in the Shire by a stream).

The only problem I have with this album is that it's too long for what it is. After about 30 minutes it starts to become background music...it's very calming.

"The Silvershade Lynx" might be one of the most uplifting listening experience there is. And it's otherworldly beautiful without any deliberate catchniness to it. The whole album is like riding a falcon over an ancient shamanic forest. I think this band and Agalloch complement each other perfectly and it's no big surprise they should cooperate. Anyone any idea if Nest are to release something soon?

Well, as a Nest's labelmate I can tell you that Tolonen said he will try to finish the remaining songs during the spring and summer and then begin the recording process. My guess is that the next one will have slightly different overall sound than Woodsmoke.

Ever think about putting a link on the banner in your sig? I'm too lazy to type in the address... ;)
